Rockledge council approves consent agenda including crossing-guard interlocal and vendor contracts

At its Jan. 21 meeting the Rockledge City Council approved a consent agenda that bundled several routine but substantive items into a single motion that passed unanimously (7). The approved items included an interlocal agreement with the City of Cocoa for crossing-guard services for the 2025–2026 school year; declaration and disposal of four surplus police vehicles; a bulk oil and lubricants supply agreement with Greens Energy Services; a uniform agreement for Public Works and Wastewater departments with Alsco Uniforms; an extension of employee health-center services with CareATC, Inc.; and procurement of furniture, cabinetry, installation and warranty for City Hall renovations from American Business Interiors.
Councilwoman Tara L. Connor moved for approval; the motion was seconded by Councilwoman Sammie Brown Martin and passed by unanimous vote (7). Following the consent vote, Councilman Frank T. Forester asked City Manager Dr. Brenda Fettrow and Assistant City Manager/Finance Director Matthew Trine to include discussion of the employee health center in upcoming Council Finance & Budget Committee meetings, a request the managers accepted for follow-up consideration.
