Board awards seven OMD licenses to applicants who passed state exam

The Nevada State Board of Oriental Medicine unanimously approved awarding Oriental medicine (OMD) licenses to seven applicants at its Oct. 23, 2025 meeting.
Executive Director Merle Lok told the board that the applicants had passed the state licensing exam and requested the board formally award the licenses. The board voted to grant licenses to Zelaikha Akram, Shaylene Brumley, Yue Ling Eileen Han, Yu Xuan Liu, Emily Sullivan, Eun Hee Yu and Caroline Zhao. The motion to approve was made by Dr. Michael Ferris and seconded by Dr. Huiwen Zhang; the motion passed unanimously.
