The Nevada State Board of Oriental Medicine met Oct. 23, 2025, and conducted routine board business, including approval of minutes, licensure awards and several administrative purchases.
Dr. Angela Nation, the board president, called the meeting to order and confirmed a quorum. The board unanimously approved minutes from the Sept. 11, 2025 meeting and moved through several agenda items on the consent portion of the agenda. Executive Director Merle Lok told members that a group of applicants had passed the state licensing exam and requested that the board award the OMD licenses; the board approved those licenses unanimously. The board also voted to hire Steve Druckman, CPA, for $1,700 to perform the FY2026 balance-sheet work and authorized purchase of a replacement laptop estimated at about $2,000. Dr. Michael Ferris, the board treasurer, reported that "the accounts look fine."
The board was notified that BNI plans a November 2025 workshop on proposed NAC 232 regulations and that Lok will attend and report back. The board set its next meeting for Nov. 18, 2025, at 6 p.m. and adjourned following the agenda.
