Frank Sadeghi elected director; Jennifier Bacchione named deputy director of Ocean County Board

At the Ocean County Board of Commissioners' organization meeting on Jan. 7, 2026, Commissioners unanimously elected Frank Sadeghi as Board Director and Jennifier Bacchione as Deputy Director for 2026.
Commissioner Robert S. Arace nominated Sadeghi for director; Commissioner Jennifier Bacchione seconded. Clerk Michelle I. Gunther called the roll and all five commissioners — Sadeghi, Bacchione, Arace, Sam Ellenbogen and Ray Gormley — voted aye. After the vote Director Sadeghi accepted the position and thanked his colleagues.
Ray Gormley nominated Bacchione for deputy director and Commissioner Ellenbogen seconded; the roll-call vote again was unanimous. Bacchione said she was honored and emphasized collaborative work with departments and legislators in the year ahead.
The nominations and votes were procedural items on the organization agenda and were recorded by the Clerk of the Board. The Board followed the clerk’s invocation and the certification of the November 2025 election results earlier in the meeting.
