The Box Elder County Planning Commission approved site plan SP26-001 for Intermountain Auto Repair, a proposed commercial automotive repair and restoration facility on a 2-acre parcel at 6569 North 6800 West in an unzoned area west of Bear River City. Staff reported that Roads and Surveyor departments approved the plan and engineering had no concerns though final department approvals were listed as a condition of the motion. Commissioner Jared Holmgren moved to approve the site plan with conditions requiring all necessary county departmental approvals, compliance with site-plan and lighting standards, and applicable county, state and federal laws; the motion passed unanimously.
The commission noted construction is already underway and that the permitted-use review process and final departmental sign-offs remain conditions of approval. The conditions require adherence to Article 5 and Sections 2-2-090 and 2-2-120 of the Box Elder County Land Use Management & Development Code and confirm that noncompliant uses or missing permits could require additional review.
