Finance committee approves claims, adds Leaf final claim and adopts amended per-diem resolution

The Ford County Finance Committee presented several claims for approval and the full board adopted them during the Jan. 12 meeting. Mrs. Mussman moved to approve all Finance claims recommended by the committee and amended to include a final claim from Leaf for $3,638.82; the amendment and the claims passed unanimously.
The board also approved ARPA claims and Sheriff claims recommended by Finance. Mrs. Mussman moved to adopt a Resolution setting the 2026 per diem and, after discussion, amended her motion to "remove the first "." (period) in the amount of seventy-two and one half cents" before the board adopted amended Resolution 26‑11 by roll call. "Mrs. Mussman amended her motion to remove the first "." Separately, a proposal to adopt the University of Illinois Home Extension levy for FY 2026 was tabled for further explanation by a 9–2 roll call; the minutes record Kerber and Chair McCall as the two nays on that tabling motion.
