Soil and Water Conservation District Administrative Manager Sara Gronfeld briefed the Traverse County Commission on program and watershed work. Gronfeld said the district received one new SSTS Upgrade Grant application and has completed the annual Feedlot Program review. She reported Bois de Sioux/Mustinka Plan projects are out for bid and that engineering design work is underway under the Upper Minnesota River Plan for three projects.
Gronfeld also noted upcoming outreach and technical assistance activities including a Herbicide and Cover Crop workshop and opportunities through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) Soil Health Grants.
