Fairgrounds director reports on FFA event, gun show and upcoming leave

Kimber Solberg, the fairgrounds director, told commissioners the recent FFA barbecue was well attended and she praised FFA alumni for providing shirts that helped identify members during the event. She also reminded the board the gun show is scheduled for the coming weekend at the fairgrounds.
Solberg said she will be out of the office Feb. 25–Mar. 4 to accompany a family member through surgery, but that she will remain reachable by phone and has confidence in her staff to manage fairgrounds operations while she is away. Commissioners thanked her for the update.
