Commissioner King presented a resolution to fix the tax levy for Sullivan County for the year beginning July 1, 2026 and said the certified tax rate provided by the state is 1.6129. He told the Board the proposal does not impose any additional county taxes beyond the state-certified rate.
After King's presentation there was no discussion. The Clerk called the roll; after the required majority was recorded the chair announced that item number 1 had been adopted on first reading.
