City Hall fiber installed but speed issues prompt planned upgrade

Minutes note, "The plan is 50mbps, which VC3 thought would be sufficient. It has been slower than the previous plan, so it would need to be upgraded to 100." Comcast provided a $150 credit for three months because the city had not budgeted for the new service, and the minutes say the monthly bill will increase by about $145 in July.
Rogers also reported a problem with a copper line inside the building that may be causing issues; the board discussed options including changing internet providers and IT services. No procurement decision was recorded; staff will pursue an upgrade and further troubleshooting.
