Service Director Joe Borczuch briefed council on stormwater and road funding, saying the Pineway/Mapleway/Bagley project costs more than $1 million and the city holds roughly $600,000 in the stormwater fund. He said the Regional Sewer District is covering $600,000 of the project but the city will likely need to front approximately $450,000 until community cost share reimbursements arrive over a multi‑year period.
Borczuch and Finance Director Tom Reynolds also discussed the Columbia Road (State Route 252) project. Reynolds said the city has budgeted $300,000 in Fund 301 for preliminary engineering and estimated an $800,000 local match will be required overall. Council asked about outreach to federal representatives; Ms. Coy said staff contacted Congressman Miller's office and Borczuch said he had received an email but no firm timetable. "We will need $800,000 for this project, $300,000 we have in the budget," Reynolds said, adding the city is uncertain when ODOT will release remaining funding.
