Staff details Phase 17 scope: 14 parcels, multiple streets and ADA ramps to be upgraded

City engineering staff described the scope of Phase 17 for the 2026 sidewalk replacement and missing-gap program, saying 14 parcels were identified for sidewalk installation and repair across several neighborhoods.
John Vance of the engineering department told the committee, "There are 14 parcels that have been identified, and, again, they would fill in gaps throughout the city, generally at West Main Street, Delwood Drive, Stoney Creek, and South Lane, but then there are some other properties and ADA ramps that we will also do, as part of this project." He also noted a map of the parcels was included in the committee packet.
Staff said ADA ramps that need upgrading to current standards will be completed as part of the project; those ramp upgrades will be performed by the city and are not treated as owner-paid work in a dollar-for-dollar manner. Notices will be mailed to affected property owners with instructions on permit options and timelines.
