Mayor Neil Ramsey told the council the City of Anchorage "approved the zoning compliance certificate based on information it had" and noted Louisville Metro also approved the new construction. City Attorney John McGarvey advised the council that because approvals were issued by the city and Metro and owners acted on those approvals, "the City of Anchorage cannot revoke the zoning compliance certificate." McGarvey said he will draft a response to Montgomery’s letter.
