Council declares 2014 Ford Explorer and equipment surplus for disposal
Summary
The council unanimously declared a 2014 Ford Explorer and assorted police equipment (radars, lights, monitors, VCR) surplus at its Sept. 9 meeting. Staff will follow surplus disposal procedures.
Police Chief Dean Hayes asked the council to declare several older items in the department inventory as surplus, including a 2014 Ford Explorer, multiple LED lights, Genesis and Targetron radars, two monitors, a printer, wiring and brackets, blue/red exterior lights, and a VCR player/recorder.
Councilmember Karin Tyrer moved to declare the listed items surplus; Patrick McMahon seconded and the motion passed unanimously. City staff will follow the city's surplus property procedures to dispose of or auction the items per municipal policy.
