Council approves $16,170 bid to pave Magnolia Lane; residents paid half

Public Works Director Gary Burkhead presented the bid and reminded the council the city had agreed to cover half the cost if the two Magnolia Lane residents paid the other half. City Administrator Reneé Major "confirmed the residents have paid their portion of the cost," and Council member Hunter Wilson moved to accept the bid; Patrick McMahon seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Council did not discuss alternate funding sources during the vote. The council did not set a construction start date at the meeting; city staff will follow up on scheduling and contractor notice to proceed.
