Resident Rick Ary asked the council to consider installing a walking path on the west side of Evergreen Road between Woodland Road and Log Cabin Lane for safety reasons. Mayor Neil Ramsey told the council the city has been unable to obtain the required easement from one property owner to put a walking path on the west side of Evergreen and that the east-side layout is not suitable for a path.
Council did not direct staff to pursue eminent-domain action or other remedies at the meeting; the record shows the issue remains unresolved pending cooperation by the necessary property owner or a redesign that fits the east-side layout.
