Town Clerk and Tax Collector Cheryl Nealley told the Selectmen she plans to attend the September Tax Collector's conference at the North Conway Grand Hotel and will room with the Newmarket Tax Collector but must register as an additional guest.
Nealley said she prefers to stay at the hotel because of networking opportunities and late events and noted that "the meals will be tax-free if paid for on a credit card." After discussion the Selectmen agreed Nealley should pay for meals on her credit card and be reimbursed through Town processes. The board did not ask for further financial details at the July 22 meeting.
