The Budget & Finance Committee reported the matter favorably and the clerk polled the council; members recorded affirmative votes and the ordinance passed on second reading. McGuire noted that as required by the state, the local match was necessary to receive the Community Crossing award and that the funding would be used specifically for street repairs.
The council recorded the passage and the administration will proceed with project scheduling and procurement consistent with the grant terms.
