Skanska outlines schedule; city pledges dust, noise and traffic controls

Derek Wark, Skanska’s project manager, and superintendent Wade Huber described the construction sequencing and near‑term work that neighbors have already noticed. Wark said geoexchange drilling and site grading will conclude around September–October, utilities begin in September and tilt‑up panel work will start in March 2027; the contractor’s target for substantial completion of major work is May 2028.
On mitigation, the team said they are planting trees early, irrigating them, installing privacy slats on fencing, running water trucks daily for dust control and sticking to permitted work hours. "We're running the water truck every day to keep the, you know, keep the dust down," a contractor said. They also committed to right‑turn‑only egress from the site during construction when appropriate, temporary traffic control during intersection work, and to coordinate notices and mailers to residents before milestone activities.
Why it matters: residents asked specifically about drilling noise, evening work and deliveries; staff said most mechanized work is daytime, and night operations would be limited to emergency responses.
