The Seminole County School Board adopted the district's tentative 2026–27 budget on July 28, approving Resolution 2026-11.
During the presentation, staff cautioned that the budgets shown are tentative and exclude most carryover balances while district accounting for the previous year is finalized. "The final balances will be included in the final budget, which will be presented at the board's September 8 meeting," staff said.
A staff member read the recommendation: "That the school board of Seminole County approve resolution number 2026-11, adopting the 2026–27 tentative budget." The board moved, seconded and approved the motion by voice vote.
What happens next: staff will reconcile prior-year accounts and present a final budget at the Sept. 8 meeting for formal adoption.
