EMS reports high demand during measles outbreak; donations stabilize finances for now

During departmental updates Alorah reported that EMS/CERT had exhausted much of the previous year's budget responding to recent measles cases but that the department is now operating under a new fiscal year and has received a donation from Quality Craft that helped stabilize finances. She said EMS continues to experience unusually high demand and must maintain purchases of medical supplies, including IV fluids.
Andy Allred said his organization may be able to provide additional financial assistance if needed. Council and the public expressed appreciation for EMS volunteers and their work during the outbreak.
