Clerk reports successful recycling event, announces community cleanup and Juneteenth observance

Clerk reported the village’s recent recycling event drew more than 40 cars and said the board is planning a community-wide cleanup on either Saturday, June 20, or Saturday, June 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The clerk also announced a Juneteenth observance on Thursday from noon to 2:30 p.m. and said refreshments and light activities are planned. When asked whether dumpsters would be available for the cleanup, the clerk said a local operator, Gary from GMI, is expected to work with the village to provide dumpsters at a fair price.
Trustees were urged to participate in the cleanup and attend the Juneteenth event.
