"I'm just curious if there's, a timeline as to when, constructions and renovation will break ground on these," Ehrenhaus said, citing a $1,500,000 Surf Avenue culvert, $1,000,000 for stormwater pump renovations and $1,800,000 for transfer station upgrades. Chair Anthony Freight responded that the Surf Avenue work is part of a large infrastructure project approved at a prior meeting but said he "could not recall the dollar amount" appropriated then and that the project will begin soon to address recurring flooding. Freight described the full package as about $17,000,000 and said "this administration is focused on a debt diet, and we're trying to be financially disciplined and lean on the budget."
