City issues RFP for roughly 11-acre downtown redevelopment site; deadline Dec. 16

Tracy Reich, redevelopment manager, told the committee the city and the Redevelopment Authority have issued a request for proposals to solicit redevelopment of roughly 11 acres of downtown-owned property. Reich described the site boundaries as Las Vegas Boulevard to the west, Interstate 11 to the north, the alley between 7th and 8th Street to the east, and Stewart Ave to the south, and said a one-page summary and the full proposal are available on the agency website.
Reich said the RFP is being actively marketed to local and national developers and listed specific outreach: local developers were notified, the RFP will appear on the ULI marketplace, and targeted outreach has been done to regional and national firms with experience on larger projects. "Deadline is December 16," Reich said. She encouraged committee members to share the solicitation with interested parties.
