Board approves consent calendar including $718,006.43 in payments and staffing hire

At its Sept. 23 meeting, the School Board of the Oregon School District approved the Consent Calendar by a 7-0 roll call vote. The approved items included payments totaling $718,006.43 and the staffing assignment of Alexandra Silverman as a 1.0 FTE Speech and Language Pathologist at Prairie View Elementary (PVE).
The board also approved extracurricular and donation items: an FFA field trip to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, scheduled for Oct. 23–26, 2024, and donations of $500 each from Fidelity Charitable to two NKE classrooms (Ms. Smith’s kindergarten classroom and Ms. Eiche’s third-grade classroom). The OSD safety plans were approved as part of the Consent Calendar. Ms. Leslie Wright moved the consent action; Dr. Mary Lokuta seconded.
