Board approves two student expulsions; one student placed on suspended expulsion contract
Summary
The board approved two student expulsions: one Citrus High School student was expelled with a Stipulated Expulsion Agreement and suspended expulsion contract permitting return through 2025–26; a Sequoia Middle School student was expelled and transferred to Vine Community Day School for the remainder of 2025–26.
President Lillian Durbin reported out that the board took action on student expulsion matters following closed session. Donna Berry moved and Pete Lara seconded approval of two expulsions.
The board approved a Stipulated Expulsion Agreement for one Citrus High School student; the student is expelled for the fall and spring semesters of 2025–2026 but may return to Citrus High School through the 2025–2026 school year under a Suspended Expulsion Contract. The board also approved expulsion of a Sequoia Middle School student for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year with transfer to Vine Community Day School. Motion carried with all seven members voting aye.
