HRA approves resolution to allow future conveyance of property to developer

Executive Director Jeff explained the mechanism mirrors a process used earlier in 2026 for another site.
Jeff said the act of approving 26‑26 is a procedural step to enable HRA to convey the parcel "for the purposes of constructing multifamily apartments" at 1800 West Highway 61 if the city proceeds. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the resolution by voice vote. Jeff noted that the city council and the local EDA—holder of $1.3 million in grant funding—must also take formal action before conveyance or construction begins.
