At a public hearing, Rob Beuth, general manager of the Dorset Field Club and owner of the properties at 102 Parsons Lane, requested a change of use from single-family dwellings to rooming and boarding houses. Beuth told the Commission there would be no interior or exterior changes to the buildings; he said the houses will be occupied by students during the warmer months and that winter use had not been determined. Chair Scott Thompson reviewed relevant bylaw criteria (§4304.B and §4304.C(2)) and closed the hearing after finding the criteria satisfied.
Commissioner Kit Wallace moved to approve the application; Natalie Quigley seconded. The motion carried 5-0-1; Commissioner David Berard abstained and the minutes note he is a Field Club employee. The Commission did not set conditions for winter occupancy at this meeting and recorded that exterior or interior modifications were not part of this application.
