Dorset's new Town Office more than 70% complete; Board may use ARPA funds for small budget overage

Town Manager Rob Gaiotti told the Select Board that the new Town Office construction is "over 70% completion point" and that the anticipated completion looks like August, while the project is currently tracking about "1-3% over budget."
Naylor & Breen, the contractor, is reported to be hopeful of catching up on time this spring. Staff recommended the Board consider options for using remaining ARPA funds to cover any potential overage and noted that work is underway on solar design, vendors and costs to be prepared once the building reaches the appropriate stage.
No formal appropriation of ARPA funds was made at the meeting; the Board was advised the solar portion is still in design and that staff will return with vendor pricing and options for Board review.
