The Dorset Selectboard approved a consulting agreement with White & Burke to support development of a request for proposals (RFP) aimed at attracting developers for workforce, senior, and market-rate housing.
Town Manager Rob Gaiotti told the board White & Burke has more than 30 years of industry experience and contacts. Town counsel reviewed edited contract language; Gaiotti said he will relay two small questions or edits to White & Burke before the agreement is finalized. The board approved the agreement contingent on resolution of those items.
Gaiotti and Selectboard member Henry Chandler said the RFP will include statements about town assets and resources the town is prepared to contribute to make projects feasible. White & Burke indicated the RFP should go out soon so developers can pursue funding opportunities from the current legislative session.
