Story County approves new hires and pay adjustments across multiple departments

The Story County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a series of personnel actions Jan. 6 that take effect Jan. 11, 2026.
The approved items include a new-hire in the Attorney's Office: Madelyn Waddell at $3,354.03 per biweekly pay period. The board also approved pay adjustments in the Attorney's Office for David Fountain ($4,086.56/bw) and Joshua Schuhardt ($3,523.83/bw); a facilities management adjustment for Matthew Miller ($2,964.48/bw); Secondary Roads adjustments including Jeremy Barker ($3,611.93/bw), hires for Chase Carlson ($29.25/hr) and Kevin DeHaven ($35.90/hr); and Sheriff's Office adjustments for Carlin Gould ($2,215.20/bw), Nicholas Hochberger ($3,966.40/bw), and Kyle Schultz ($3,405.60/bw). The Treasurer's Office hired Autumn Hedlund at $22.06 per hour. The board also approved a transfer in Secondary Roads for Charles Carsrud at $39.78 per biweekly pay period.
Supervisor Lisa Heddens moved to approve the personnel actions; Supervisor Latifah Faisal seconded and the motion carried unanimously on roll-call vote. The approvals were recorded as part of the meeting minutes.
