Chief Pernice presented a civil service certified list containing two candidates and requested permission to conduct background checks and hire two part-time officers; council approved completing the background checks and authorized filling the positions.
After executive session, council approved a police contract for Zackery Shelly (motion by Councilor Steadman, seconded by Councilor Kerns). Council also approved completing background checks for two part-time officers from the certified list at Chief Pernice’s request. The minutes record motions and unanimous approvals where noted.
