Union City secures $264,000 for City Building first-floor improvements

Union City Borough managers told council on Oct. 7 that the borough has secured $264,000 in grant and project funding for first-floor improvements to the City Building. The funding package comprises a $75,000 ECGRA Anchor Building Grant, a $35,000 Helping Today Grant administered with the ECF, and $154,000 procured through the Community Project Fund via Congressman Mike Kelly's office.
Borough Manager Cindy Wells said the combined funds will support continuing improvements on the first floor of the City Building. Council did not record additional formal action beyond the update; staff indicated work planning and next steps will proceed under the borough’s capital improvement processes.
