Council approved a resolution supporting Erie County’s effort to develop a new countywide comprehensive housing plan. The minutes state the primary goal is “to develop recommendations that will improve both quality and affordable housing in Erie County.” The motion (by Councilor Osborn, seconded by Councilor Steadman) carried unanimously.
The minutes note the county will use MAP grant funding and Act 137 (Affordable Housing Act) deed-transfer funds to support the plan, and that several Union City residents have applied for Act 137 funds based on income.
