Council says Hometown Heroes volunteer will not accept lawsuit money; organizer thanks borough

Council President Riley Cross told the council before the meeting that he had spoken with Lance Greer regarding a civil case related to the Hometown Heroes project and that Greer “would not be taking any money from the civil case against Hometown Heroes.”
Bev Ballog, representing Hometown Heroes, thanked the borough for its support of the project and said she was “happy to hear that Lance is not accepting the money.” The remarks came during the Hearing of Visitors portion of the Sept. 16 Union City Borough Council meeting at First Global Methodist Church.
