Crystal was nominated and elected chair of the Middletown Springs Library Board during the meeting’s reorganization item. "Do I hear a second?" a member asked, and after the nomination the board called, "Aye," with no opposition; the chair then took over running the meeting.
The board also discussed the remaining officer roles—treasurer, secretary, and vice chair—and settled a slate with the treasurer continuing in place. Peter agreed to serve as interim secretary and offered to train a replacement if someone else fills the role later. The board agreed to recruit for the open seat and keep a vice chair vacant for now unless needed.
