Police Chief Michael Melcher told the Colfax City Council that he will resubmit a modified HB 2015 grant application to the Criminal Justice Training Commission (CJTC) and that one entry-level candidate remains in the background process.
Melcher said the department completed records training in East Wenatchee and is refining the grant submission to reflect recent modifications. He did not provide dollar amounts for the grant changes at the meeting.
The council recorded no formal action on the grant at the Feb. 17 meeting; Melcher's update was presented as an operational report.
