City staff: INDOT to open Little Calumet River bridge; resurfacing complete on 100th/79th

Public-works staff told the Board of Public Courts and Safety that INDOT expected to open the bridge over the Little Calumet River at 100th and 79th Street that morning and that resurfacing work on 100th from Klein Avenue to the bridge was completed and striped.
"Just wanted to report to the board that, this morning, we expect Indott to open the bridge over the Little Calumet River on 100 And 79th Street," the staff member said. Staff also said the resurfacing work was completed in coordination with the town of Highland and the Little Calumet River Basin Development Commission, and that an intergovernmental agreement — not yet approved — would have those partners cover one-third of the cost.
