Trustees approved a broad consent calendar that bundled routine business items, field trips and a set of board policy updates. The motion carried 3–0. Specific consent items include approval of payroll and warrants, minutes from Nov. 17, 2025, and field trips: a choir trip to Knott's Berry Farm on April 20, 2026 with transportation and admission costs of $5,740 funded by Kiwanis fundraising; a Redwood Elementary trip to the California Science Center on March 26, 2026 funded with LCAP funds at $5,233; and a Jan. 27, 2026 State Capitol trip for seven Richland Junior High scholars with transportation provided by the City of Shafter.
The consent calendar also included approval of an MOU between the district and WestEd to administer the California Healthy Kids Survey ($2,059, funded through Concentration & Supplemental Grant), a service contract with KCSOS for Active Supervision Yard Staff Training ($3,179.80, Educator Effectiveness Block Grant), and multiple board policy updates (BP/AR series across governance, personnel and student policies).
