District business services staff presented two facility projects on May 12, 2025, that the board approved. Chief Business Official Martin Rodriguez outlined a Sequoia Elementary TK/K playground surfacing project that will install approximately 1,700 square feet of poured-in-place Enduraflex rubber and 400 square feet of synthetic turf under a CMAS contract with KYA Services LLC. The project is funded by Community Facility District (CFD) Fund 49 with a cost not to exceed $80,855.85; the board voted 5–0 to approve the contract.
Mr. Rodriguez also recommended replacement of carpet tiles in the Redwood Elementary administration office, including reception, workroom, three offices, hallways, steps, and meeting room, under the same CMAS contract for up to $34,659.76 using Fund 14 (Restricted Maintenance). The board approved that contract 5–0 as well.
