Commission approves match and UDOT grant pairing for 2.5-mile Historic Orchard pathway

Community Development staff presented the 'Historic Orchard' pathway as the county's priority trail project and described the funding arrangement: the county's match for a UDOT trail grant will include the value of a UTA easement (16-foot corridor) plus Willard City's right-of-way for the county's share of the match. The segment runs roughly 2.5 miles from the south boundary of Willard City toward the area near 8700 South.
"The UTA easement is 16 feet, and the path, final design, my guess, it'll be, 10 foot pathway," the presenter said, adding that Perry and Willard already have sections with 10-foot widths. Commissioners voted to approve match agreement 25-13 so staff can proceed with grant design and application.
