The Board of Zoning Appeals on May 21 reviewed applications for two open seats and voted to recommend Christopher Weber and Victoria Hertrich for appointment by the Howell City Council. Kevin Shopshire moved the recommendation for Christopher Weber, seconded by Brian Doefer; Jeff Schuett moved the recommendation for Victoria Hertrich, seconded by Brian Doefer. Both motions carried 4-0.
Each applicant introduced themself and answered questions from the board during an interview; the transcript records that two applications were reviewed for the two open positions and that Seth Barnhill also introduced himself as a prospective alternate member. The recommendations now move to City Council for formal appointment and consideration at a future council meeting.
