West Amwell considers joining Lambertville-led regional planning grant

Member Robin Deal told the board that the State is offering grant funding for municipalities pursuing a regional planning approach and said Lambertville has agreed to lead an application. Deal said East Amwell, Hopewell Township, Stockton Borough and Delaware Township, along with the Watershed and the DRCC, had already supplied letters of support and asked West Amwell to participate.
Chairman Sean Pfeiffer cautioned about accepting HUD funding without reviewing Lambertville’s documents and consultant selections; he asked staff to circulate Lambertville’s materials for board review. Planner Dave Banisch noted he would provide professional feedback when available. The board left the item open for continued consideration and directed staff to follow up ahead of the July meeting.
