Committee members said they received bus stop sign renderings and suggested a formal outreach plan so residents understand how planned Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) routes will affect travel and stops within North College Hill.
"It should be in your email because it was 20 pages long," the Chair said of the Metro materials and asked that administration prepare a thorough report for citizens. Members discussed inviting Metro to a Saturday outreach session to accommodate residents who do not work a 9-to-5 schedule and to give the public an opportunity to ask how BRT service might change local travel times.
Members emphasized clear, citizen-facing visuals and an in-person session so commuters can ask questions about routes, stops and travel time. The committee said it will follow up with administration at the next council meeting to confirm outreach scheduling.
