"It reads a resolution establishing a policy for the placement of the community little free pantry boxes on property owned by the city of North College Hill," the Chair said, and members confirmed they were comfortable advancing the item for council review. Committee members said two boxes are planned initially—one in front of the city building and another near the community park—and that Public Works will clean and prepare the donated boxes for installation around September or October.
Committee members noted the resolution has been updated with mayoral edits and that Public Works is arranging pickup and repairs of the boxes. The item will appear on Monday's council agenda for a first reading; committee members encouraged staff to prepare information for residents about locations and upkeep.
