Board members debated whether to engage a landscape architect to prepare those plans or to use drawings from county public works staff and volunteer specialists.
Board members emphasized a practical path forward: recruit a local landscape architect to provide a short site plan or ask volunteer organizations such as the South Carolina Native Plant Society for pro bono help, then use that material to complete the DOT packet. The board agreed to schedule a meeting with a local landscape professional and invite interested members to learn the steps needed to produce a permit-ready packet.
