Sewer Phase IV nears completion; Route 20 corridor bid opening set for Oct. 9

Town engineers told the council that Phase IV sewer line work is complete and the contractor has approximately 45 days of concrete and sidewalk work remaining. The report said Phase V sewer work is on hold and noted an intent to add Sandy’s Hardware force main into the existing contract instead of using an additive alternate.
The Route 20 corridor project held a pre-bid meeting on Sept. 18, 2024; the bid opening is scheduled for Oct. 9, 2024 at 12 p.m. at the Thrasher office. In public comment Resident Dennis Dutchess requested an update on striping the park exit toward Taqueria LouLous; Code Enforcement Officer Wade Keith said the contractor scheduling makes the work "approximately 1-2 months out." Resident Jennifer Robinson asked about a pothole at Bryan Street & Indiana Avenue; staff said repairs are in progress.
