Mayor Sam Maxson and councilors on Sept. 24 appointed Emily Lamm to the Town of Nutter Fort council to fill the vacancy created by Jim Link’s departure. The motion to appoint Lamm was made by Councilor Rick Lafferty, seconded by Councilor Charlene Louk, and passed by unanimous vote.
Mayor Maxson said he and two council members met with five interested individuals before recommending Lamm. Councilors noted Lamm had been described as "expressed forward and positive thinking," per Rick Lafferty’s remarks during the appointment discussion. Lamm will serve through June 30, 2025, the end date specified by the council motion.
