EMS reports 101 calls; council approves equipment quotes to outfit new truck

During committee reports, EMS Supervisor Nathan Rohrbough reported 101 calls for service to Nutter Fort EMS in the year to date, 45 of which were emergency calls.
Council reviewed quotes to outfit a new truck for EMS: emergency lighting $9,680.99, striping $2,935.00, and a custom welded medical equipment box $1,342.66 for a total of $13,958.65. Councilor Charlene Louk moved to purchase the lighting, striping and equipment box as quoted, to be done incrementally and at the Treasurer’s discretion; Councilor Bryan Gonzalez seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Public Works Supervisor Taylor Keith separately presented outfitting costs for the new Public Works F‑350: snowplow assembly and harness $3,553.00, a used radio $1,400.00 and striping $950.00 (total $5,903.00). Supervisor Keith said the 2024/2025 fiscal year budget already included funds for a snowplow and equipment exceeding the quoted amount. Council authorized EMS outfitting purchases under the approved motion.
