Engineering Manager Scott Schroder presented a procurement contract to purchase 180 manholes, frames and covers for the Manhole Inflow Reduction 2024 Project No. 257. He told the board the work focuses on locations in Lake Arrowhead and Rimforest, many within San Bernardino County right-of-way, and aims to reduce inflow and infiltration where pavements and low points have caused problems.
Schroder said the cost for the 180 manholes is $86,308.00 and that the project qualifies as I&I reduction in compliance with Cease-and-Desist Order #R6V20230022. Director Steve Keefe moved and Director Robert Morris seconded approval of the procurement contract; the motion carried unanimously. Installation contract and construction bids will be considered at a future meeting.
